Geek Bar
Disposables built around displays and switchable power modes rather than capacity alone, from the Pulse family through to the flagship Skyview, plus a zero nicotine option.
Geek Bar has built its recent range around two ideas: screens, and giving the user something to adjust. Where most disposables offer a single fixed experience, the Pulse line introduced a switchable power mode, and the Skyview added a display large enough to be a feature in itself.
We stock five: the Pulse at $22.99, the Pulse X at $24.99, the Meloso Max at $22.99, the Skyview at $27.99, and a zero nicotine disposable at $22.99. All sit at or under the federal 20 mg/mL cap.

Switchable power modes and what they do
The Pulse line offers two power settings, usually described as a regular mode and a boosted one. Switching to the higher setting pushes more power into the coil, which produces warmer, denser vapour and a more intense flavour.
Nothing is free. The higher setting uses considerably more liquid and considerably more battery per puff, so a device rated for a given number of puffs in regular mode delivers far fewer in boosted mode. The manufacturer figures are quoted for the lower setting.
Used sensibly this is a genuinely useful feature rather than a gimmick. Regular mode for everyday vaping and the boosted mode for occasional use gives you a device that behaves like two devices. Leaving it permanently on the high setting mostly just means buying devices more often.
Screens, and what they actually tell you
The Skyview at $27.99 carries the largest display in the range, and the Pulse models have smaller ones. Battery level is the genuinely useful readout, because it tells you when to charge before the device starts underperforming at low voltage.
The liquid indicator is less reliable. These are generally estimated from usage rather than measured directly, so they drift over the life of the device, and one can show liquid remaining when the wick has already started to dry. Trust the taste over the display.
Screens do not change how a device performs. If you are weighing two models and one has a larger display, treat it as a convenience rather than as a reason to pay meaningfully more.
The five devices and who each suits
The Pulse at $22.99 is the standard device with the switchable mode and a small display. The Pulse X at $24.99 is the larger capacity version of the same idea and is the better value for daily use.
The Meloso Max at $22.99 is the more conventional option in the range, without the mode switching, and it suits anyone who would rather have one consistent experience with nothing to think about.
The Skyview at $27.99 is the flagship, with the largest display and the highest capacity. The zero nicotine device at $22.99 delivers the same flavour experience with the nicotine removed, which is covered properly in our nicotine free vapes range.
The Canadian Geek Bar range compared
Five disposables with the prices as listed.
| Device | Price | Mode switch | Display | Nicotine | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Geek Bar Pulse | $22.99 | Yes | Small | At or under 20 mg/mL | Daily use, some adjustability |
| Geek Bar Pulse X | $24.99 | Yes | Small | At or under 20 mg/mL | Daily use, more capacity |
| Geek Bar Meloso Max | $22.99 | No | Minimal | At or under 20 mg/mL | One consistent experience |
| Geek Bar Skyview | $27.99 | Yes | Largest | At or under 20 mg/mL | Flagship, heaviest use |
| Geek Bar 0mg | $22.99 | Varies | Varies | None | Stepping down, flavour only |
If you are unsure whether you want the mode switching, the Meloso Max is the honest answer. Plenty of people set a Pulse to one mode on day one and never touch it again, which is worth knowing before paying extra for a feature you may not use. If you want genuine control over how a device performs rather than a two position switch, that lives in our vape mods range instead.
The zero nicotine option
The 0mg device at $22.99 is the same flavour experience with the nicotine left out and nothing substituted in its place. The main perceptible difference is a softer throat sensation, because a good part of what people describe as the hit comes from nicotine itself.
It works best as the last rung of a gradual reduction rather than as a sudden switch. Halving the strength and holding each step for two to three weeks works far better than jumping from 20 mg straight to zero, which usually ends in a return to the previous strength within days.
Keeping the device and the flavour constant while changing only the strength makes the process much easier to judge. Health Canada quit smoking resources publishes independent support that has nothing to sell you.
Reading capacity claims honestly
Puff counts on any disposable come from a testing machine drawing a consistent two to three second puff under the conditions described in ISO 20768, the vaping machine standard. Human draws are longer and more variable, so roughly half the rated figure is the honest expectation.
On this brand specifically there is a second complication: the rated figure assumes the lower power mode. If you use a Pulse in boosted mode most of the time, expect substantially fewer puffs than the number on the box, because you are drawing more power and more liquid per puff.
Liquid volume in millilitres is always the more honest comparison where a manufacturer states it, and our disposable vape life calculator estimates duration from your own consumption rather than from a machine.

Getting the most from a Geek Bar device
Use the lower power mode for everyday vaping. It genuinely extends how long the device lasts and, because the coil runs cooler, it often tastes better for longer as well.
Draw slowly and gently rather than hard. A sharp pull floods the coil, wastes liquid as condensation and makes the device gurgle. Leave a few seconds between draws so the wick can reabsorb.
Charge before it is completely flat, keep it upright and out of heat, and keep it out of deep cold, which temporarily reduces usable battery capacity so a healthy device reads as dead outdoors, as we explain in vaping in cold weather. Recycle finished devices at a battery drop off point.
Common problems and what they mean
A burnt taste with liquid showing on the display means the wick can no longer keep up with the coil, and it is the end of the useful life rather than a charging problem. This happens sooner on devices used mostly in boosted mode.
No vapour and no light means flat. Try a different cable first, since cables fail at the connector far more often than devices do. A display that has gone blank while the device still fires is a cosmetic fault rather than a functional one.
Gurgling means flooded, usually from hard draws. Stand it upright for a few minutes and draw more gently. Our walkthrough at disposable vape troubleshooting covers the rest in order of likelihood.
How Geek Bar compares with other brands we stock
Against Elf Bar and Lost Mary, Geek Bar is the one that leans hardest on displays and adjustability. Elf Bar is the more conservative option with a refillable route through the Elfa Pro, which Geek Bar does not offer here.
Against Gcore, which competes purely on capacity, Geek Bar offers more features at a similar price but generally less raw liquid volume.
Against the Canadian brands such as Vice and Flavour Beast, the trade is features against flavour range and, in some cases, a bottled liquid option. If running cost is the priority, a refillable setup from our vape kits range beats any disposable brand.
Flavour, and why a device seems to fade
Flavour in any disposable declines gradually as the coil ages, so the last quarter tastes duller than the first. On this brand that effect arrives sooner if you use the higher power mode most of the time, because a hotter coil ages faster and caramelises sweeteners more quickly.
There is a separate effect that people regularly mistake for a failing device. Vaping one flavour continuously dulls your sensitivity to it, an adaptation with nothing to do with the hardware. If a flavour seems gone but the device is otherwise behaving normally, switch to a different family for a day and it usually returns completely.
Iced profiles tend to hold up better across the life of a device than sweet ones, because the cooling agents mask the gradual decline of a tiring coil. Our roundup of best vape flavours in Canada is a useful place to find a contrasting profile, and ice pods versus regular pods explains how the cooling actually works rather than what the packaging implies.
Canadian availability and the rules that apply
Every Geek Bar product we list sits at or under the federal 20 mg/mL nicotine cap set out in Tobacco and Vaping Products Act. That is why Canadian versions are not directly comparable to the same model sold in markets with a higher ceiling, which is worth knowing if you are reading international reviews.
Flavour availability is decided provincially rather than federally, so the range differs by province and we track the current picture in vaping laws by province. As with any globally sold brand, a great deal of online review material describes versions formulated for markets with a higher nicotine ceiling, which Canadian units are not.
We operate an age gate on every visit and ship only inside Canada in Canadian dollars. Carriers, timings and tracking are on our shipping and delivery page and faults on our returns policy page. Anything containing a lithium cell travels in cabin baggage rather than checked luggage when flying, as Transport Canada lithium battery rules requires, and our guide to taking a vape on a plane covers the rest.
Common questions
What does the boost mode on a Geek Bar Pulse do?
It pushes more power into the coil, producing warmer, denser vapour and more intense flavour. It also uses considerably more liquid and battery per puff, so the device lasts far less time. The rated puff count assumes the lower setting.
Is the liquid indicator on the screen accurate?
Only roughly. These are usually estimated from usage rather than measured directly, so they drift over the life of the device. The battery readout is genuinely useful, but trust your taste over the liquid display.
Which Geek Bar should I buy?
The Pulse X at $24.99 for daily use with adjustability, the Meloso Max at $22.99 if you would rather have one consistent experience, and the Skyview at $27.99 as the flagship. The zero nicotine device at $22.99 suits stepping down or flavour only.
Why is my device lasting less time than the box says?
Either you are using boost mode, which draws far more power and liquid per puff, or you are comparing against a laboratory figure. Rated puff counts come from a machine drawing consistent short puffs, and human draws are longer and more variable.
Can I refill a Geek Bar?
No. The disposables in this range are sealed with the coil fixed inside alongside the liquid. Recharging lets you finish what is already in the device. For a refillable option, a pod kit from our wider range is the right format.
Is the zero nicotine version the same flavour?
Yes, the same profile with the nicotine removed and nothing substituted. The main difference is a softer throat sensation, since a good part of what people call the hit comes from nicotine. Sweet notes also tend to come forward slightly.
